Children film festival announces int’l lineup

The 30th Int’l Film Festival for Children and Young Adults in Isfahan announces int’l lineup.

The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults (IFFCY) held in historic Iranian city of Isfahan has announced its lineup for the international competition.

The selection committee has selected 12 films, including ‘Master Spy’ directed by Robbert Hansen from Canada, ‘Fortune Favors the Brave’ directed by Norbert Lechner from Germany, ‘Belle and Sebastian’ directed by Christian Duguay from France, and ‘Blue Bicycle’ directed by Umit Koreken from Turkey and Germany.

‘The Day My Father Became a Bush’ directed by Nicole van Kilsdonc from Croatia, Belgium, and the Netherlands, ‘My Friend Raffi’ directed by Arend Agthe from Germany, ‘Jill and Joy’s Winter’ directed by  Sara Cantell from Finland, as well as ‘Little Grey Fergie’ directed by Peder Hamdahl from Norway are also in the lineup.

The list goes on with ‘Come Along’ directed by Igor sterk from Slovenia, ‘Help, I’ve Shrunk My Teacher’ directed by Sven Unterwaldt from Austria and Germany, ‘Amelie Rennt, Mountain Miracle An Unexpected’ directed by Tobias Wiemann from Germany, as well as ‘Bo’s Most Exciting Holiday Ever’ directed by Diederik Ebbinge from the Netherlands.

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is annually organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

It is an event that celebrates films made for children and youth. The festival supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas. It is also an event that serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.

The 30th edition of IFFCY will be held from June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
